FAQs

1. Is CUDIS Ring HSA/FSA eligible?

Yes. CUDIS Ring is eligible for purchase with HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds. It is a health-monitoring wearable designed to support everyday wellness through metrics such as heart rate, HRV, sleep, and activity tracking.

Eligibility may vary by plan, so please check with your provider to confirm coverage under your specific plan.

2. Can I pay directly with my HSA/FSA card?

Yes. You can use your HSA or FSA debit card at checkout, just like a regular credit or debit card. Make sure your card balance is sufficient to cover the full purchase amount — CUDIS Ring pricing is an all-in-one price that includes the ring, charging pod, cable, tax, and shipping.

If you encounter any issues at checkout, see FAQ #3 below.

3. What if my HSA/FSA card is declined?

If your HSA or FSA card is declined at checkout, you can still complete your purchase using a personal credit or debit card. After your order is confirmed, save your email receipt and submit a reimbursement claim through your HSA or FSA provider.

Common reasons for a declined card include insufficient account balance, a card network not supported by your plan, or your provider requiring pre-approval for certain purchases. Contact your HSA or FSA administrator if you need help resolving the issue.

4. What items are eligible for HSA/FSA?

The following CUDIS products are eligible:

  • CUDIS 002 (Classic) — Eligible. All-in-one price includes ring, charging pod, cable, tax, and shipping.
  • CUDIS 002 Sporty — Eligible. All-in-one price includes ring, charging pod, cable, tax, and shipping.
  • Charging Pod (sold separately) — Eligible.
  • Rubber Band (sold separately) — Eligible.

The following is not eligible:

  • Add One More Year of Warranty — Not eligible. Extended warranties are generally not considered qualified medical expenses under IRS guidelines.

If you are unsure whether a specific item qualifies under your plan, check with your HSA or FSA administrator before purchasing. For the most up-to-date list, please refer to the "What's Covered" section on this page.

5. Do I need a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)?

Many plans do not require an LMN for health-monitoring wearables like CUDIS Ring, but some may. Check with your provider to confirm what documentation your plan requires.

If your provider does ask for an LMN, consult with your healthcare provider to obtain one. The LMN should describe how continuous health monitoring — such as tracking resting heart rate, sleep patterns, and recovery — is relevant to your personal health management.

6. I already bought a CUDIS Ring — can I get reimbursed?

In many cases, yes. If you purchased a CUDIS Ring with a personal credit or debit card, you may be able to submit the purchase for reimbursement through your HSA or FSA provider.

To submit a claim, you will typically need your order confirmation email, which serves as your purchase receipt. Some providers may also require a product description or Letter of Medical Necessity. Check with your plan administrator to confirm whether retroactive reimbursement is available and what documentation is required.

Note: For FSA accounts, purchases generally must fall within your current plan year to be eligible. Some plans offer a grace period, so check your specific plan rules.

7. Is the extended warranty eligible?

No. The "Add One More Year of Warranty" option is not eligible for HSA or FSA purchase or reimbursement. Extended warranties are generally classified as a service contract rather than a qualified medical expense.

If you would like to add the extended warranty to your order, it will need to be paid with a separate personal payment method.

8. Can I use HSA/FSA to buy a CUDIS Ring for my family members?

Under US federal law, HSA and FSA funds can be used to purchase eligible items for the account holder, their spouse, and eligible dependents. If you are purchasing a CUDIS Ring for a qualifying family member, the purchase may be eligible.

However, HSA/FSA funds cannot be used to purchase gifts for individuals who are not eligible dependents. Check with your plan administrator to confirm dependent eligibility under your specific plan.

9. Does eligibility vary by plan provider?

Yes. HSA and FSA eligibility rules are ultimately determined by your specific plan and provider. While CUDIS Ring qualifies as a health-monitoring wearable, individual plans may have different rules regarding which products are covered, what documentation is required, and whether direct card payment or reimbursement is accepted.

We always recommend confirming eligibility with your HSA or FSA administrator before making a purchase. CUDIS does not provide tax, legal, or medical advice.customers.

10. What is the return/refund policy for HSA/FSA purchases?

CUDIS Ring purchases made with HSA or FSA funds follow the same return policy as all other orders. If you return a product, the refund will be issued to the original payment method — meaning it will be returned to your HSA or FSA account.

If your HSA or FSA account has been closed or is no longer active, the refund may not be processed. Please contact your plan administrator to understand how returns are handled for your specific account.

Additionally, if you received reimbursement from your HSA or FSA provider for a purchase you later returned, you may need to notify your provider and return the reimbursed funds to your account. Failure to do so could result in tax implications. Consult your plan administrator for guidance.
